COMMITTED TO THE COMMON GOOD

We know that, in the short term, tourism will either sustainable or it won’t be. That’s why we try to integrate sustainability at all levels. Thus, since 2020, we implemented a year-on-year sustainability plan that allows us to measure our contribution to the common good, i.e. our ecological footprint. In doing so, we focus on four fundamental principles based on the Economy for the Common Good: human dignity, solidarity, ecological sustainability and transparency.

CULLERA HOLIDAY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

To guarantee the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, we have the ‘S for Sustainability’ certification, which is granted by ICTE (Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality), as well as the ‘Bioscore sustainability’ seal. Our sustainability policies are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, proposed by the United Nations. And our priority objectives are SDG 12 Responsible Production and Consumption, SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 3 Health and Well-being.

SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE COMPANY

As a result of our work in the sustainability area, in 2024 we have become a Socially Responsible Valencian Company. The Register of Socially Responsible Valencian Companies or SIR Register is a public and administrative register attached to the Regional Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Employment that highlights the actions of the most responsible Valencian companies. Our aim is to be part of sustainable value chains, showing our commitment to our customers and suppliers.

A RESPONSIBLE VALUE CHAIN

We want to ensure that our services are sustainable right from the beginning. To do this, we work with suppliers that meet a series of sustainability requirements. For example, we try to work with local suppliers to promote the local economy, which is why 70% of them are local.

COMMITTED TO PEOPLE

People are at the centre of our activity and, therefore, the entire team of the Hotel Cullera Holiday is essential to be able to provide the service to our customers. We work to guarantee adequate working conditions. We have an equality plan that allows us to ensure non-discrimination in any of our work processes.

LOCAL CUISINE

We foster Mediterranean gastronomy due to our location in Cullera and to guarantee a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, by consuming products of proximity and km0.

MOVING TOWARDS EMISSIONS REDUCTION

To move towards ‘net zero’ and reduce our carbon footprint, we have an Emissions Reduction Plan which we submit annually to the Carbon Footprint Register under the Ministry for Ecological Transition. The goal is clear: to reduce our emissions by 65% by the year 2030. To achieve this, we have a solar photovoltaic installation for self-consumption. We use aerothermal energy for the air conditioning and sanitary water systems, we promote sustainable mobility and we are committed to electromobility, implementing an environmental investment plan that allows us to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels by switching to renewable energies.

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

We are a ‘bike friendly’ hotel so, if you stay at Cullera Holiday with your bike, you will have a workshop, a cleaning area and a space to store it. We also encourage sustainable mobility among our team by participating in #EuropeanMobility Week and we have electric chargers for vehicles.
